UPDATE: Survivors of Kalkaska Accident Still at Munson Medical Center

According to the Associated Press, Tyler Summers, Jacob Hinkle, Dallas Johnson, Mason Krey, and Gunner Metzer are the surviving victims who were in the van with the Grayling High School Golf Team.

Their coach Jason Potter and teammate Louis Menard died in the crash.

They say survivors Rhonda Mitchell and her 3 year old granddaughter were in the other van, along with Cassandra Stapleton who also died in the accident.

The victims were transported to Munson Medical Center after the accident.

Summers is currently in critical condition, Hinkle and Johnson are in serious condition, and Krey, Metzer, Mitchell, and the 3 year old are all in fair condition.

Police named 2 more people involved in the deadly accident that happened yesterday in Kalkaska county.

At a press conference earlier this afternoon, police said that 18 year old Mason Krey was in the van that also carried Grayling High School Golf Team coach Jason Potter, as well as Louis Menard who was a member of the team.

There were also 4 minors in the vehicle, their names will not be released.

Rhonda Mitchell was in the van with Cassandra Stapleton, along with a 3 year old girl.

Potter, Menard, and Stapleton all died in the accident.

Police say they still have a lot of work to do and the next step in their investigation is to interview surviving victims and witnesses.

No more information will be released at this time.

We can now tell you that of the three who died are the coach of the Grayling High School Boys Golf Team and a player were both killed in the accident.

One woman in the other van also died.

The accident happened around 11:15 this morning, closing County Road 612.

The road was reopened around 5:00 this evening.

Fox 32 News is following breaking news out of Kalkaska county.

County Road 612 by Crawford Lake Road is now reopened, after being closed because of a crash that has killed 3 people and injured multiple others. 

This happened just after 11:00 this morning.

Michigan State Police tell us a silver van and a white van collided right at the intersection.

7 people were in the silver van, 3 in the white van.

2 people from the silver van died, and one person in the white van was killed.

One of the vans was carrying the Grayling High School Golf Team.

4 people total were ejected.

7 people are hospitalized, including a 3 year old who is expected to be okay.

State Police do say speed was a factor and they are still in the process of notifying family members.

Police say 2 vans collided on County Road 612 near Crawford Lake Road in Excelsior Township.

County Road 612 has been closed, and State Police are reconstructing the accident.
